Imitator.

There has been someone going around on different blogs, with the username Drewbacca, linking to this Risen blog, telling people to email me.

This IS NOT me. And my blogger account is named Risen Media.
Someone is dumb, and promoting? my blog? me?

Either way, if an account Drewbacca comments on your blogs, ignore it.

Dorthal - eta-Earth (2011)

Genre: Progressive Metal / "Djent"
From" Bordeaux, France

1. Form Of Life
2. Utopia
3. Climate Change
4. Coronal Mass Ejection
5. Cthulhu Ftaghn

Dorthal EP "eta-Earth" by Dorthal

Phenomenal album. Keeping it djent, but still maintains its own originality. This guy's style is a little more mathy than the average groove/djent/whatevers, and it rules. The production is great, and the album was mastered by Acle Kahney of TesseracT. Name your price on Bandcamp.

Amoeba - Day In Black (2011)

Genre: Death Metal
From: Bitcherland, Lorraine, France

1. The Incoming Vehemence
2. Martyrdom
3. Our Last Grasp

A pretty swell debut with some pretty swell production value. For some 17 year old French kids, I was fairly surprised how good this was. It's pretty 8r0074l, just listen and you'll see. Download it and like them on Facebook and what not.

Day in Black EP by Amoeba - Band

James Doesn't Exist - Leeches (2011)

Genre: Grindcore
From: Highland Park IL, USA

1. Mega Shark
2. Thirty Years From Now
3. Weitzman Twins
4. Ventriloquist

7. A Final Interpretation

Another new album from James Doesn't Exist. Fans of his past albums will not be disappointed, and this is now my favorite of his. Also, check out the alternate mix of his previous album The Return To Sanity, because it rules as well. All of JDE's albums are name your price on bandcamp, but if you're downloading for free, use this mediafire to save dude some download vouchers.

Pretty good new band with a pretty fresh sound. I enjoyed these demos and I expect great things from these guys in the future. Check 'em out and give their facebook a "Like".

3. New Horizons
4. Rise Of The Cold Dawn

Press play to listen to "New Horizons"

Believe me when I say you need this release. Pure brilliance. I have been kind of past my limit with instrumental progressive bands because lets face it, there's so many now. But from the second I pressed play on their bandcamp I was in love. It used to be free, but they ran out of download vouchers the first day, but the band was nice enough to upload on mediafire. Click download now.

Dancing With Paris - The Drought (2011)

Genre: Progressive Metalcore
From: Toronto, ON, Canada

1. The Peter Principle
2. Jumper
3. Plurals
4. In The Direction Of Sharks
5. Speculation

7. Brazen Bull
8. Black Sheep
9. Elephant Parade
10. There's No Help For Girls Like You
11. Single Serving Friend
12. Lights To Lights

This album is really swell. Production could be a little better, but what do you expect from an unsigned band? It is still VERY listenable, and VERY awesome. Buy it for about 10 bucks on BandCamp, or download it here for free. Hard copies are available also, along with some shirts and other stuff HERE. This album/band is definitely worth your time checking out.
